HQ move will “strengthen valuable industry relationships.”

The Society of Master Saddlers has a new home at the Rural Innovation Centre in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

The society will close its long-time base near Stowmarket in Suffolk at the end of August.

The Society of Master Saddlers is moving to Stoneleigh Park from Suffolk. The relocation will place it close to other equestrian bodies’ offices and nearer to Walsall, the heart of the British saddlery industry.

CEO Hazel Morley is to retire on 30 September. Recruitment is underway for a CEO and an office manager.

The society’s new Warwickshire base is closer to equestrian bodies such as the British Horse Society, Riding for the Disabled, British Dressage and British Equestrian.

“Moving to this area places the Society of Master Saddlers right at the heart of equestrian activity,” says its president, Catherine Baker.

“It’s also closer to Walsall, the hub of the saddlery industry. This exciting move will help us strengthen valuable industry relationships.”

The new office is already up and running with office administrator Rachael Lewis-Middleton as the first point of contact.

Rachael has experience in agricultural and equine administration. She says she’s looking forward to welcoming Society of Master Saddlers members and visitors to the new premises.
