High-powered CEO channels a childhood joy.

Kerem Atasoy: “Horses were a huge source of joy in my childhood.”

Kerem Atasoy arrived as CEO at Finest Brands International (FBI) earlier this year fresh from fashion and tech giants Farfetch, Harvey Nichols and Google.

But having showjumped as a teenager, landing in the horse world was never an alien environment to him.

“Horses were a huge source of joy in my childhood,” says Kerem who heads the home of Champion, Toggi and ProLine Sports.

So, how does Kerem find the equestrian trade having switched from consumer to insider?

“The sector continues to be run by people whose passion is a strong driving force – whether that’s a love of horses, competition, safety or the countryside and outdoor living more broadly,” he says.

“That passion remains a powerful and guiding force for the equestrian trade, and it creates a sense of authenticity that sets it apart from many other industries.”

Kerem still rides occasionally, although these days it’s more likely a gentle hack rather than jumping big fences.
