“It’s great to be competing at this level again.”

Vicky Mitson, founder of safety brand evoke with her husband David, is back to her winning ways in the show jumping arena.

Riding her mare Classic Addiction, Vicky clinched a 1.30m class at CSI2* Chard Spring International (23 – 27 April).

She was also the joint winner of a competition for five-year-old horses with CSF Jaxon…and just missed out on a grand prix win with new ride NFS Angelina thanks to an unlucky rub at the last fence.

Vicky says she took a break from competing to focus on her business interests; she and David also own Science Supplements.

But she’s returned to the showjumping circuit this year with a new string and some exciting home-bred and produced young horses.

“It’s great to be back in the saddle and competing at this level again,” said Vicky. “While I love running the business, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of being back riding at the bigger shows.

“It’s challenging to balance the hours between the office, riding and the young horses. I’m fortunate to have a really great team around me; without them, this would be much harder to achieve.”
