CHARITY OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

The show will: “provide a platform for the charity in an aligned but adjacent space”.

BETA International, sponsored by Neue Schule, is delighted to announce that the British Horse Society will be its Charity of the Year, giving the organisation a presence at the show this Sunday and Monday, to help showcase the incredible work it does direct to the equestrian trade.

As Charity of the Year, the British Horse Society will be at BETA International with a stand and have the opportunity to speak to visitors about its essential work.

James Hick, CEO of the British Horse Society, said: “We are incredibly proud to be BETA International’s Charity of the Year. BETA International brings together so many people and organisations who share our passion for horses, and we’re looking forward to building new connections, showcasing the breadth of our work and exploring how, together, we can make a positive difference for horses and everyone who enjoys them.”

The British Horse Society’s 2025 to 2027 Strategic Plan detailed how the charity and its partners would focus on horse care and welfare, access, safety, education, and participation across this time. This involves protecting the future of horses in society, safer roads and better off-road routes, and ensuring everyone feels welcome in the equestrian space.

“As a keen horsewoman myself, I’ve known about the British Horse Society and its work for as long as I can remember,” said Liz Ormesher, Event Director for BETA International. “Being able to provide a platform for the charity in an aligned but adjacent space should help the trade to understand more about the work it does. The hope is that this will allow them to signpost people in their circles to the charity, find ways to work with them in a professional capacity, or even support them as a charity.”

To see the British Horse Society at the show, simply register for your FREE BETA International ticket at www.beta-int.com. The show is at the NEC, Birmingham on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th September 2026. Tickets are free to members of the equestrian and connected trade and industry.
