“Our industry needs consistency, innovation and growth.”

spoga horse organisers have confirmed that their co-operation with the trade body, the German Sporting Goods Industry (BSI), is to continue.

The collaboration, they say, sends a “strong signal” about the event’s role as a leading B2B platform for the international equestrian industry – and underlines its potential for expansion.

Last month’s spoga horse saw 440 exhibitors and 8,500 trade buyers and delegates participate at the show’s long-time venue, Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.

"Our industry needs consistency, innovation and growth,” says Oliver Frese, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse.

“By continuing and intensifying our partnership [with BSI] we are addressing these issues. We are reinforcing spoga horse as an international industry meeting point and are jointly pushing its further development forward.”

Stefan Rosenkranz, his counterpart at BSI, added: “The recent successful edition of spoga horse and joint projects like the new equestrian sport consumer survey demonstrate what our partnership makes possible."

The German Sporting Goods Industry (BSI) - or Bundesverband des Deutschen Sportartikel-Handels - represents German sporting goods manufacturers, importers and wholesalers.

The next spoga horse is on 7 – 9 February, 2026 at Koelnmesse in Cologne.
