Project aims to overcome horse owners’ pre-winter worries.
A company that tests equine faeces for worm eggs is finding increased levels of infection this autumn.
Grazing on grass made sparse by this year’s hot summer means more horses are at risk from internal parasites, says Westgate Labs.
Now the analysis experts have teamed up with their counterparts at Austin Davis Biologics, to host a free, live webinar for owners to learn more.
The 45-minute webinar - on Thursday 16 October at 7pm – will look at safeguarding horses’ health with risk-based parasite control. It’s also suitable for SQPs/RAMAs.
The speakers are Claire Shand, SQP and director of Westgate Labs, and Prof Jacqui Matthews, a specialist in parasitology and director of veterinary science at Austin Davis Biologics.
The seminar host is horse trainer and content creator Miri Hackett.
Horse owners who join live will be entered into a giveaway to win worm egg count and EquiSal test kits from Westgate Labs and Austin Davies Biologics worth £130.
