“Exactly the calibre of commercial leader we need.”

Fiona Nellis has joined Battles Group – which acquired Trilanco in February - as group head of sales.

Fiona was head of equine at Horslyx for eight years, and now leads national sales for Battles and Trilanco as they complete their integration.

Fiona Nellis has been appointed group head of sales by Battles Group.

Battles Group’s manufacturing and brand management is based in Lincoln. Home to own-labels such as Coldstream and Hy Equestrian, it fulfils production contracts for external brands to more than 40 countries.

Wholesale operations are based in Wesham, Lancashire through Trilanco’s purpose-built 110,000 sq ft distribution centre.

Fiona Nellis has more than 30 years’ commercial experience in the equine, agricultural and veterinary pharmaceuticals sectors. Her role at Battles Group is a new one.

She joins from Fevara plc, formerly Carr’s Agriculture (Horslyx). Previously, she held sales and product management roles at Dodson & Horrell and CEVA Santé Animale, and ran her own consultancy.

“The Battles Group brings together two businesses with fantastic reputations, an exceptional product range and a genuine commitment to customer service,” said Fiona.

“This is a pivotal moment for the group, and I’m excited to be part of building on that foundation, helping customers grow their businesses and demonstrating the real breadth of what we can offer as a combined operation.”

Added Richard Dewey Clarke, managing director:Fiona is exactly the calibre of commercial leader we need as we bring Battles and Trilanco together and look ahead to the next chapter.

“She knows this industry inside out, she understands our customers’ world and she has the track record to help us grow. With the operational integration on track and our product and service platform stronger than ever, having Fiona leading our sales effort gives us real confidence about what we can achieve.”
