INAUGURAL SAFETY CONFERENCE “WILL HELP WITH SALES”

Latest standards and product innovations to take centre stage.

The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) hosts its first Safety Conference on 21 April at Loughborough University.

With a focus on rider safety equipment, it’s open to members of the trade as well as the wider equestrian industry.

The one-day event will feature expert speakers from around the world, sharing their knowledge on topics from latest safety standards and innovations in hat and body protectors to research and fitting an increasingly diverse rider population.

Research around the functionality and efficacy of safety equipment, developments around angular impacts and rotational forces are also on the agenda.

“The BETA Safety Conference has been created due to increased interest in rider safety equipment with the clear objective of helping to support all parts of the trade through providing useful information that will tangibly help with sales, fitting, safety and supporting customers in making more informed choices,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams.

Zebra Products and Charles Owen have signed up as Gold sponsors, with Silver and Bronze packages also available, alongside a limited number of pop-up stands.

An early bird discount is available to BETA members, allowing them to secure a place at the conference for £90 (+VAT) if booked before 27 February, when it will increase to £99 (+VAT). Further early bird rates for affiliated organisations and non-members are available.

This price includes a buffet lunch, the full programme, and opportunities to connect and network with peers.
