Loyal companion will be by his side.

Chris Gordon and his dog Piper are to walk 100km in 30 days during October to raise funds for Cure Parkinson’s.

A former technical director of D&H, and still part of the manufacturer’s team, Chris has chaired the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA), its feed committee and NOPS working party.

Chris Gordon and his dog Piper get set for their 100km, 30-day walk to raise funds for Cure Parkinson’s.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, a neurological condition, in his early 40s. However, with medical help, Chris has been able to manage his symptoms and continues to lead an active life aged 70.

“Horses have been my passion since the age of four and I have been so lucky to work within this industry for so many years,” he says of his four-decade long career.

“D&H has allowed me to travel to many parts of the world to talk horses and nutrition - what better job is there?

“I’m very grateful to the D&H Team, past and present, for their support and understanding over the years and I’m looking forward to taking on this challenge to raise all important funds for Cure Parkinson’s.”

Chris and Piper will be walking to help raise money towards finding new treatments to reverse, slow or stop the progression of Parkinson’s, which affects 166,000 people in the UK.

Cure Parkinson’s is the only UK organisation dedicated solely to finding a cure for Parkinson’s; 2025 marks its 20th Anniversary.
