Horse & Hound has a new showing editor.
Bethan Simons began her career as a teacher, later editing Showing World for two years.
Now she heads up all matters showing on the weekly Horse & Hound magazine and its digital publications.
Bethan was born on a Pembrokeshire farm. It was her first riding lesson at the age of three that sparked her passion for ponies.
As teenagers, Bethan and her younger sister began showing and breeding their own ponies – winning at the Royal Welsh, Royal Highland, RIHS, HOYS and London International Horse Show.
With her Welsh cob stallion Ballynacoy Prince, Bethan starred alongside TV presenter Adrian Chiles in an episode of the documentary series Iaith Ar Daith [Language on Tour].
She is also a Welsh language commentator at equestrian and agricultural events.
