A new B2B trade fair is to run in parallel with spoga horse.
The event for the pet trade will be held every two years from 2027 at the same Cologne exhibition venue.
The new show’s partner is the German Pet Trade & Industry Association (ZZF).
spoga horse director Bernd Voss will be at the helm of the new, as yet unnamed trade fair.
The ZZF represents specialist pet retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers of pet food, care and accessory products, pet breeders and wholesalers, as well as professional pet groomers.
In Germany, 44% of households keep pets, according to ZZF, with cats and dogs being the most popular. It estimates there are 10.5 million dogs in Germany.
spoga horse takes place later this week, on 7 – 9 February.
