Brands can get involved with live coverage.

Horse&Hound has launched a new-look website ahead of the World Championships (11 – 23 August).

The title will have two journalists in Aachen reporting on the eventing, dressage, showjumping and paradressage.

Horse&Hound’s new-look website incorporates a live blog and additional promotional opportunities.

Key to the coverage is a live blog on the H&H website. And this brings opportunities for businesses too.

“The live blog gives clients another option for brand promotion – one of a number new advertising opportunities on the new-look site,” says H&H editor-in-chief Sarah Jenkins.

Another fresh feature on the updated website is a Daily Training Inspiration slot giving owners a three-point prompt for an exercise to try with their horses that day.

The flatwork, polework, jumping and groundwork workouts are available anytime via a library.

Subscriber benefits continue

The H&H website continues to operate on a hybrid hard and metered paywall.

“Subscribers benefit from subscriber-exclusive interviews, judge and training insight, and unlimited access to all articles on the site, including complete major event coverage, breaking news, top rider opinion pieces, daily training and a complete vet-approved library of horse care advice for all common ailments and conditions,” says Sarah.

“Non-subscribers can read up to five non-subscriber-exclusive articles in 30 days before being asked to subscribe to support quality, independent journalism.

“Magazine subscribers enjoy free access to all website articles as part of their subscriber benefits.”

Mark of respect

Following the tragic loss of two riders’ lives at separate horse trials on 18 July, H&H postponed its Harry Meade guest edit due to be published the following week.

“This will now run in 23rd September issue,” Sarah confirmed.

“Inside, Harry talks with respected figures in the industry about the future of the sport, and takes a trip to trainer Christian William's yard to compare management notes.

“He highlights the benefits of tetrathlon for young riders, and shines a spotlight on the WAGS and HABS without whom top riders couldn't achieve what they do.”
