“A truly historic occasion.”
Forty-five saddle fitters, retailers and customers attended the Prestige Italia UK Seminar Day atSaddlers' Hall in London on 5 June.
Delegates from across the UK and Ireland enjoyed a day of technical education, product insight, business discussion and future planning.
“It was, in many respects, a truly historic occasion for Prestige Italia within the UK market,” said Claire Galer, UK Prestige consultant and part of the team set up in January to promote the brand to the UK and Irish trade.
Saddlers’ Hall is owned by the Saddlers’ Company, an historic City of London Livery company whose charitable work supports saddlery craft and training.
“The significance of the venue should not be understated, further highlighting both the importance of the day and the strength of Prestige Italia's commitment to the British market,” added Claire.
Representatives at the seminar from the saddle brand’s Italian headquarters were Roberto Antoniazzi - head of sales, Adnan Redouane - area manager UK, and Jasmin Scomparin - technical consultant.
They were joined by the UK team of Michael Darley - agent for south UK and Ireland, Catherine Powell - agent for north UK, and Claire Galer.
Attendees learned about Prestige Italia’s UK marketing and commercial development plans for 2026 and beyond. These include increased investment in marketing, training, retailer support, fitter education, sponsorship activity, events and customer engagement.
Said Michael Darley: “The day was a great success. So good to see both current and new fitters looking at the brand. Exciting times ahead.”
Added Catherine Powell:“The excitement in the room was tangible - fitters were actually selling the saddles to each other!”
Summing up the event, Claire Galer said Prestige’s Saddlers’ Hall seminar “marks an important milestone in the next chapter of the brand’s development, reinforcing its commitment to retailers, saddle fitters and riders throughout the UK and Ireland.”
