Firm bids to reduce plastic waste even further.

Could feed merchants soon be hosting in-store collection points for old feed sacks?

Dengie is asking consumers if they would use “an in-store packaging collection scheme at your local feed retailer.”

The manufacturer says it’s “working towards creating a closed loop recycling system for feed packaging.”

Consumers are also asked whether their feeds sacks are re-used for manure or rubbish.

“Our goal is to minimise our environmental impact at every stage of production” says Dr Katie Williams, technical and product development manager at Dengie.

“We are proud of the progress we have made using an increasing amount of recycled content in our packaging over the years, but we want to know if more can be done with helping recycle packaging after it has been used.”

Consumers who complete the short questionnaire are entered into a free prize draw to win one of three £50 Dengie vouchers.

The survey is here: complete the short survey.
