Show to host big brands and a strong British contingent.

Next month’s spoga horse (7 – 9 February) looks set to give the equestrian industry a financial and sporting boost.

More than 440 exhibitors from 32 countries will reveal new and innovative products to thousands of equestrian trade visitors as they converge on Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.

“Major business event”

Bernd Voss, event director, is at the helm of spoga horse 2026.

Leading brands on show will include Amahorse, Albert Kerbl, Ariat, Cavallo, Equest, Equovis, HKM, KASK, KEP Italia, Kingsland, LeMieux, Passier, Pikeur, Röwer & Rüb, Samshield, Schockemöhle Sports, Sommer, Sprenger, UVEX Sports, Vestrum and Waldhausen.

Speakers and top-rider demonstrations at spoga horse will reference anticipation around the World Equestrian Games (WEG), to be held in Aachen, Germany, next summer.

"spoga horse 2026 is going to be a major business event,” said the event’s director Bernd Voss. 

“It will get the fiscal year and the world championships year off to a perfect start for all parties involved,” 

Innovation awards

Products in contention for spoga’s Top Innovation awards will be on display to visitors during the event. 

An independent team of judges will assess feasibility, sustainability, quality, design and overall concept.

The judges areco-chief operating officer at Beerbaum Stables, Karsten Lütteken; retailer Audrey Chong who runs The Tack Shop Singapore; farrier Matthes Röckener; and Annalisa Sella, founder of the Equestrian Hub Middle East. 

Brits out in force

spoga horse will welcome a strong British contingent, including a number of companies joining a group led by the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA).

“There will be 34 UK companies attending spoga horse, which is the most for many years,” said BETA’s Claire Williams. 

With the BETA group are DJ Murphy with Pony and Horse and Rider magazines, Tharos Equine supplements, Snuggy Hoods, supplements and feed blocks manufacturer Dallas Keith, BETA International and Equestrian Trade News.

Adjacent to the British group with their own stands will be Fairfax Saddles and Racesafe.
