How brand’s sponsorship will benefit stockists.
In a move set to boost feed merchants’ customer bases, D&H has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with British Dressage (BD).
The support covers classes for horses and riders competing at all levels and highlights the versatility of different equine breeds and types.
D&H, owned by Cheshire based HJ Lea Oakes since 2020, is backing the Associated Championships and the Intermediate I class at the BD National Championships.
Qualification for the Intermediate 1 is via regional championships and Premier League shows. Becky Moody’s Jagerbomb and other grand prix stars have emerged from previous start lists.
The Associated Championships showcases horses and ponies of various breeds, shapes and sizes, and celebrates riders at different levels.
Last year’s running attracted over 1,400 combinations, with titles awarded across ten categories.
Trickle-down effect
The benefits of the brand’s support for equestrianism trickles down to stockists, says Isla Boxall-Loomes from D&H.
“These partnerships and sponsorships provide us with the opportunity to get out and meet lots of horses and their carers, riders and owners with the aim of delivering excellence in nutrition for happy, healthy horses,” she said.
“Whilst we’re out and about delivering nutritional advice, we also ensure that we’re directing consumers into their local stores to purchase the products that have been recommended to them with the intention of expanding the customer base for both D&H and the trade.”
