Future industry players air new product concepts and market insights.

Equine students from Hartpury University have been flexing their commercial muscles in a The Apprentice style competition organised by NAF.

The budding entrepreneurs worked in teams to present product concepts and strategy pitches to senior figures from the supplements and horse care brand.

The students’ ideas included products for equine care, performance and welfare, alongside tactics to boost customer engagement and brand development.

The winners were Savannah Harrow and Amy Jones with their ‘Tubs for Tomorrow’ sustainability approach.

"It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to apply their learning to a real-world scenario,” said Sara de Jong from Hartpury University.

“We're extremely proud of the innovative ideas they pitched, and it’s exciting to think that some of these concepts could shape the future of the industry."

The event also enabled the students to network with experienced industry figures.

"We were particularly impressed with the way each team approached their pitch - offering fresh, forward-thinking ideas,” said Griselda Beaumont from NAF.

“From new product concepts to strategic market insights, the students showcased a remarkable ability to blend practicality with innovation. We are excited to see their careers develop.”

The students are studying on Hartpury’s BSc (Hons) programmes in equine business management, equine performance and rehabilitation, international horseracing business, and equine behaviour and welfare.
