“We’re busy planning next year’s event,” says organiser.

Nearly 15,000 people attended the two-day National Equine Show held at the NEC in Birmingham on 2/3 March.

The second running of the annual event saw a 50% increase in visitor numbers compared with last year, said the organiser.

The show combines shopping with equestrian celebrity appearances, demonstrations and talks, and is billed as “a chance to absorb everything equestrian.”

“We are delighted with the show and what a success it was, not just for us but also the brands, partners and sponsors we work with,” said event director Liz Ormesher.

“The best thing of all, though, was the buzz in the hall from visitors enjoying the show; that’s what it’s all about.”

More than 70% of a new floorplan is sold ahead of the 2025 event, scheduled for 1 and 2 March at the NEC, added Ms Ormesher.

“We’re busy planning next year and will be releasing speakers and more over the next few months.”

Shoppers were out in force at the National Equine Show earlier this month.
