Brand on a mission to end an affliction in a decade.

The SPILLERS brand is urging retailers to share with their customers the chance to win a £1,000 Spring weight loss prize bundle.

The kit will be won by a member of the SPILLERS Slimmers’ Club which is accessed online and open to all. 

The club and competition are part of the feed brand’s mission to end equine obesity in the UK by 2035.

The SPILLERS Slimmers’ Club already supports more than 8,000 horse owners with safe, effective equine weight loss strategies, encouragement and camaraderie.

Membership has grown by around 60% in the past year, highlighting the scale of the problem and owners’ wish to act, says the MARS Horsecare owned brand. 

The £1,000 weight loss prize bundle includes six bags of SPILLERS Lite & Lean Balancer; four bags of SPILLERS Fibre Lite Molasses Free; a Mole Electric Fencing Ultimate Equestrian Paddock Kit; a Haycube & Trickle Feeder Grill; a Best Friend Deluxe Grazing Muzzle by Urban Horse; and Silverfeet Hoof Balm Natural and Liquid.

Overweight horses and ponies are at greater risk of certain clinical conditions, especially laminitis, says the SPILLERS brand. 

Other health and welfare implications include increased joint strain, respiratory stress, heat intolerance, an increase in chronic low-grade inflammation in senior horses and reduced fertility. 

The SPILLERS Slimmers’ Club Facebook group gives worried horse owners advice, insider tips and motivation, backed by the brand’s science and others’ success, to help keep their horses in trim.
