A collection of leakproof, washable knickers has arrived on the equestrian market for when white breeches are a worry.
Nixi Body pants for periods and bladder leaks are distributed to equestrian retailers by Shaws Equestrian.
“The underwear is designed to give riders protection and confidence through their heaviest days, white breeches or not,” said Suzanna Stuart-Monteith from the distributor.
More period-friendly products are expected to join the equestrian market.
Last year, British Riding Clubs changed its rules to permit riders to wear dark-coloured breeches in competitions. The move followed a loosening of all-white kit requirements for other sports such as tennis.
