Demand helps create jobs.

A British manufacturer has taken on more staff as a new product generates record pre-launch orders.

The Shelfie, invented and made by Stubbs England at its Nottinghamshire factory, is a clever shelf-cum-hanger for tack rooms, homes and horseboxes.

The affordable, practical product has clearly hit the right note with the trade who expect consumers will quickly grasp its usefulness.

The Shelfie from Stubbs England, which solves the problem of where to put stuff, has attracted record pre-launch orders.

“It’s been the biggest and best reception we’ve ever had [from the trade] to a new product,” says Stubbs’ managing director Chris Bradwell.

“The Shelfie appears to be just right for the current climate. It’s attracted our biggest ever pre-launch order from a wholesaler.”

Creating jobs

Indeed, Stubbs has been so busy, it has been recruiting additional employees.

“Business is significantly improving with two extra staff taken on recently - and we are considering more,” said Chris.

The Shelfie solves that perennial problem of where to put stuff.

It hangs the likes of coats, dog leads or bridles, while storing related bits-and-pieces on a shelf above – without taking up extra space.

The Shelfie is in stock at wholesalers Battles, Trilanco and Mackey Equestrian by Agrihealth. Find out more in the February/March issue of ETN.
