Abby Whait has joined Dengie as area sales manager for East Anglia and the East Midlands.
She’s taken over from Jess Toombs who’s moved into an export role at the feed firm.
Abby graduated with a first-class degree in equine performance science from the University of East Anglia after studying at Brooksby Melton College.
She’s since lectured in animal care, worked in marketing in the pet trade and in sales within the frozen food sector.
“This combination of practical animal knowledge, equestrian experience and commercial sales expertise makes Abby a strong addition to the Dengie team,” said a spokesperson for the feed brand.
In her spare time, Abby enjoys hacking and attending clinics and local competitions with her 17.2hh Irish sports horse Big Ben. She and her husband also have three dogs - Dotty, Douglas and Reggie, a cat called Geoffrey and Greg the gecko.
In her new role, Abby works with horse owners, retailers and wholesalers across East Anglia and the East Midlands.
