The Queen has been named winner of the SEIB/ Showing World Outstanding Achievement Award.

Terry Pendry, stud groom and manager of the Royal Mews at Windsor Castle, collected the award on her behalf during the 2019 SEIB British Showing Awards, organised by Showing World magazine, last Saturday (19 October).

For the presentation, Terry was joined by Katie Jerram-Hunnable and Lizzie Briant, regular riders of the Queen’s show horses and ponies.

“We are delighted to receive this award on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen,” said Terry.

“Horses have been an important part of her life; it is a passion in fact, and she is a very strong supporter of the showing world in all disciplines including the ROR [Retraining of Racehorses].

“I spoke to Her Majesty about the award and she asked me to say that she offered her sincere thanks for this award.”

SEIB Insurance Brokers has been title sponsor of the awards for the past two years. The British Showing Awards are the industry leading awards for showing.
