Doug Walker, president of the Weatherbeeta Group across North America and Europe, is to introduce a new BETA Business Award at the BETA Conference on Monday, 28 October.

The Marketing Effectiveness Award, sponsored by TSM, has joined BETA’s series of industry accolades presented annually at the trade association’s gala dinner in January.

The previous BETA Sponsored Rider of the Year and TSM Social Media awards have been combined into this new one.

Entrants have to prove how a marketing campaign has resulted in increased value for their brands.

Doug will provide an insight into how the award reflects the changing nature of marketing and communications, and how they solve business problems.

His presentation, titled You Are Wasting Half of Your Marketing Budget – But Which Half?, will take place during the BETA Conference, at the De Vere Staverton Estate hotel, near Daventry, Northamptonshire.

Also speaking are Sophie Curtis, research manager at Onswitch; Amanda Chadwick, of Croner; political commentator John Arnold; social media expert Michelle Goodall and retail consultant Sara Blackshaw.
