Tim, who founded the business 21 years ago and is a hugely popular figure in the trade, is to retire to pursue life’s adventures.

Tim Smith is set to retire: I’ve made some great friends in the industry.

“I’ve taken the decision to step down from running the business and to retire from marketing after such a long time at the helm,” said Tim, TSM’s managing director who was a journalist before working in PR.

Speaking exclusively to ETN, Tim added:

“The team are all looking forward to exciting new roles in the industry and will finish at TSM at the end of October.

“When I first set up the company, it quickly grew to be one of the most successful pet and equestrian agencies in the sector with a strong team that has enjoyed many years of working together.

Thanks for the support

“We feel very fortunate to have had so many longstanding clients.

“Personally, the industry has been very good to me and I have made some great friends and had so many amazing experiences along the way.

“I feel very fortunate to have run a successful business for such a long time, thanks to the support and loyalty of so many people.

Everest in his sights

In a new era away from his desk, Tim says he plans to chase his dreams.
