FEED INDUSTRY EVENT SET TO REVEAL LATEST MARKET DATA

164

Initial findings of National Equestrian Survey to be unveiled.

The initial findings from BETA’s four-yearly market insight project are to be revealed on day two of the trade association’s joint NOPS and Feed Conference.

The eagerly-awaited market update will touch on rider and horse data and outline the direction the market for feed and supplements has been taking.

The second day, focusing on broader issues for the industry, will also shine a light on various aspects of sustainability for the feed industry including calculating a carbon ‘hoofprint’ for animal feed and responsible sourcing for feed safety in the modern, post-Brexit world.

Day one with its focus on prohibited substances will feature industry speakers on legal aspects of liability when feeding performance and race horses as well as a first look at horizon scanning for new potential feed contaminators, following the Zilpaterol scare two years ago.

The event, organised by the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) and supported by Gold Sponsor Premier Nutrition, runs over two days at the Hilton Hotel, East Midlands Airport on 27/28 June. The event is also supported by silver sponsors Kiwa and Cargill Animal Nutrition.

Tickets are available (see below) to attend in person or to live stream the conference, with the dinner, bed and breakfast option now sold out.
