List celebrates “those who have embraced the entrepreneurial roller coaster.”

Three well-known equestrian companies appear in the FEBE (For Entrepreneurs, By Entrepreneurs) Growth 100 list for 2023.

Footwear and accessories brand Fairfax & Favor is at number 40, Devon retailer Redpost Equestrian is listed 55th and horse and rider products supplier LeMieux is at number 67.

The list highlights the UK’s fastest-growing, privately-owned businesses where the founder is still involved.

John and Louise Tuff (pictured left) founded Redpost Equestrian in 1992. Their daughter-in-law Claire now heads the sales team while their son Ben is managing director of the Totnes based retailer

Featured companies are profitable, UK registered and turning over between £3m and £200m.

The data-driven rankings are decided by firms’ compound annual growth rate in sales over the last three financial years. There’s no cost to be included on the list.

“So many people think that business founders just ‘get lucky’ or have an idea one day and are successful the next,” said FEBE co-founder Charlotte Quince, a former dragon on TV’s Dragons’ Den

“But we know that the journey to success is anything but smooth. The Growth 100 celebrates those who have embraced the entrepreneurial roller coaster and who are now thriving as some of the fastest-growing brands in the country.”
